Sober - Save our borderland environment. Sober is a voluntary group of people whose aim is to protect the landscape and wildlife of the Oswestry and Welsh Borderlands from insensitively sited wind-driven power stations.

Campaign for the Protection of Rural Wales  A conservation organisation that includes both the human and natural environments within its area of activity. It attempts to see what changes can be allowed that will not damage the enduring qualities that make our countryside so precious. CPRW defines action that needs to be taken to defend those qualities in terms of influencing the planning system and decision-makers both locally and nationally. The web site gives the CPRWs view on Government policy concerning wind power. 

www.countryguardian.net  Country Guardian is a  UK conservation group focused on the environmental damage caused by commercial windfarms in areas of national or local landscape value. It is not opposed to wind energy as such, but believes that in practice almost all onshore sites which are windy enough are environmentally sensitive.

ISVR Consultancy  A consultancy that has carried out projects on the generation and propagation of noise from wind turbine generators (WTGs) and since 1991 has assisted a number of local planning authorities in dealing with the noise aspects of planning applications for windfarms.
