Planning Proposal (P/2002/0538) is to construct 3 Wind Turbines at Cefn Coed on the northern aspect of Pen-Y-Gwely, approximately 2.5km south of Glyn Ceiriog.

The cluster would comprise 3 x 1.3 Megawatt wind turbines, with an overall height to blade tip of up to 91 metres (approx 300 feet). Each blade would measure up to 31 metres (approx 100 feet) with a maximum wind turbine height of 60 metres (approx 200 feet).

The route for construction traffic is through the village of Selattyn.  This would entail 4254 vehicle movements, including over 300 lorry loads of concrete and road stone. The turbine blades would be carried on 31 metre (approx 100 foot) trailers and the associated crane would weigh 128 tonnes (with 9 axles).
