A QUICK GUIDE NOTE ON HOW TO WRITE A LETTER OF
OBJECTION
You might wish to set out your letter like this
Mr. Matthew Davies
Planning Officer
Development Services Directorate
Wrexham County Borough Council
Lambpit Street
PO Box 1290
Wrexham

date
Dear Mr. Davies
Project description here: Planning Reference P/2002/0538
Construction of 3 Wind Turbine Clusters at Cefn Coed, Glyn Ceiriog,
Llangollen
I write to object to the proposed
wind turbine development at Cefn Coed near Glyn Ceiriog, for the following
reasons:
State your reasons here
Here are some key reasons
which you could include in your letter....
1. significant visual impact in an area of
outstanding landscape
2.
probability of noise pollution
3.
probability of electromagnetic interference (EMI)
4.
significant traffic hazard in Selattyn during construction phase
5.
significant impact upon wildlife habitat
6.
lack of formal Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
However you wish to lay out
your letter you should always include the date and the planning reference
number and project description after the salutation (ie, dear Mr..)
You do NOT have to write a
great long academic argument against the turbines. You could simply list the reasons above and/or include one
paragraph like this...
“I object to the
proposal due to the size, nature, and location of this project, with its
significant effects in terms of visual intrusion and potential noise
impacts. I believe my quality of life
will be adversely affected.”
You may also wish to include a
demand for a formal Environmental Impact Assessment. You could use this phrase....
Please invoke a formal EIA.
WHATEVER YOU WRITE, DO IT TODAY! LETTERS MUST BE IN BY MONDAY 8TH JULY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
